Jerry Schatzberg, an acclaimed filmmaker and photographer, has a filmmaking career that spans over five decades. Over those years, he has worked with noteworthy talent such as Al Pacino, Gene Hackman, and more. In 1973, Mr. Schatzberg won the Cannes Film Festival Palme d’Or, the top prize at the festival and one of the most prestigious awards in the film industry, for his acclaimed film “Scarecrow.” Mr. Schatzberg was kind enough to spend some time talking with me about his impressive career in both film and photography.
