“Left-Handed Girl” had its world premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in the Cannes Critics' Week sidebar. Ever since, it has been receiving great reviews from critics and audiences for its lived in performances, kinetic cinematography, and heartfelt storytelling. The film was also selected as Taiwan's submission for Best International Feature Film at this year’s Academy Awards. Shih-Ching Tsou, the director of “Left-Handed Girl,” was kind enough to spend some time talking with me about this excellent film she made. You can listen to the interview below.
